Right here’s a recap of what I hope will probably be my last transfer for a very long time!!!

I AM MOVED!
I like the reset. I like organising a brand new area. However boy, is transferring exhausting. On prime of the bodily effort, I’ve had so many adulting issues this yr which have required my time and a spotlight that I’m simply fairly exhausted emotionally too! From Mazen’s damaged ribs at Christmas to promoting our household dwelling and furnishings in it to a lot and plenty of paperwork, after which shopping for this new home, it’s been numerous adulting! And now, I’m lastly settled.
However I’m so completely satisfied to be right here. I already know this was an awesome determination, and I’m already waking as much as have espresso with this view each morning (like an episode of Home Hunters!) and feeling so grateful.

(When you’ve got no concept why I moved, learn this put up after which this put up!)
Transfer Prep
I did a lot prep work earlier than I closed on the brand new home to get my rental mounted up. I caulked and painted partitions (I didn’t know I used to be succesful!), I took down my video doorbell, I cleaned, I magic erased, I swapped curtains, and I packed and packed. Sure I used an outdated snorkel as a paint stirrer! Very profesh.

These paint contact up pens are GENIUS for small spots and patches! Fill them as soon as after which click on to color everytime you want a contact up with out opening a can.

Getting The Keys!
Because of the very best realtor, Ivy Haines, for bringing the keys (and champagne!) to the fitness center!

I went straight to the brand new home and let it soak in!

After which the transfer started!
I spent two complete days transferring all of the small issues: lamps, garments, linens, pillows, closets, provides, the pantry, and the fridge. I additionally had my home cleaners come to do a move-in clear, and they’re the BEST! That meant I might concentrate on transferring fairly than wiping the within of cupboards and so they did such a implausible job. I bought us all Al Carbon for dinner.

And naturally, rosé!

I had some mates over for completely satisfied hour on the brand new rooftop deck and we toasted. Everybody loves photographing the view 😉

Movers Day
Friday was movers day. They arrived and stated “you don’t have a lot stuff in any respect,” but it surely nonetheless took 4 guys virtually six hours to get all the things out. I did a bunch of cleansing whereas they labored and packed up my garments. They solely introduced one wardrobe field, so I needed to make 3 journeys.

Farewell First Place!

The Legos
One space that needed to wait till after the movers was the Lego room. Mazen was very clear nobody was allowed to the touch his Legos. However I boldly (meticulously!!) moved them myself whereas he was on the seaside!!

For the reason that format of this home is so much like the final, it actually doesn’t really feel that a lot completely different to them. However all the things is just a bit bit higher – together with their Lego wall, that now seems like a museum 🙂

For our first meal collectively, Mazen discovered a recipe for Arayes that we tackled. He’s fairly the budding chef, and so they turned out excellent!
