About Apela Colorado, Ph.D.
Founding father of the Worldwide Indigenous Science Community, Apela Colorado, Ph.D.(Oneida-Gaul) is a pioneering scholar, educator, and cultural bridge-builder whose work spans Indigenous data programs, social coverage, and non secular ecology. A Ford Basis Fellow, she earned her Ph.D. in Social Coverage from Brandeis College in 1982, with further research in Federal Indian Legislation and Youngster Welfare at Harvard College. She has served as a consultant to the United Nations Earth Summit, a delegate to the Convention on Faith and Atmosphere hosted by the President of Indonesia, and an advisory board member for the South African Analysis Chair in Growth Training. Her scholarly publications discover the intersections of Indigenous knowledge, spirituality, and science. She is the writer of Girl Between the Worlds: A Name to Your Ancestral and Indigenous Knowledge (Hay Home, 2021), and co-author of quite a few tutorial works on cultural revitalization and sacred ecology.
